Sewage pumping stations (KNS)

Technical Specifications

The modern sewage pumping station of vertical position KNS from the company “REEF” is successfully used for the removal of contaminated water located below the geodetic mark of the intake manifold from buildings, structures and other objects.

Purpose and principle of operation

The REEF company’s modern vertical position KNS sewage pumping stations are used with success to remove contaminated waters that are below the geodetic mark of the receiving header, from buildings, structures, and other facilities.

The operating principle of KNS is standard: water masses are conveyed into a chamber by pipeline through a steel basket. The case fills, float-operated sensors activate, and submersible pumps are engaged.

Provision is made for the normal, peak and emergency operating modes. Each of them has its own features. In the normal mode waters are pumped by main pumps. When peak loading level is achieved, reserve pumps will be engaged. In emergency mode, when the level of water masses is exceeded over the limit, the person on duty (or the control cabinet) receives emergency signal and all systems are engaged.

There are guides installed in the KNS. They are used to lower the pumps. Connection to the pressure head unit is made through a pipe-like automatic coupling, while the pipeline is necessarily equipped with a slide valve and a backpressure valve.

On request of the customer the KNS sewage pumping stations will be equipped with a convenient service platform, standard ladder, necessary ventilation. Seismic hazard zones require a special design of KNS, which will be developed for the customer by an individual design.
